The professorship is funded by a generous benefaction, and the first holder will play a vital role in helping the Faculty of Theology to develop a new paradigm for its work in the Study of Religion. The successful candidate will have an outstanding research and publication record, and can expect to benefit from Oxford’s international renown as a base for his or her own research activities.
